Sheep / Lambs

CIAA yarded 720 lambs and 250 sheep. A good quality yarding across all agents today with heavy lambs remaining firm on last week’s rates. Lighter trade lambs and heavy store lambs traded to slightly cheaper rates than last week losing 10-20c/kg. Hoggets were very limited and sold to similar rates compared with last week. Mutton was dearer today making up all of last weeks loses lifting $30-60/hd. Rams were dearer today lifting $20-50/hd.

CIAA will be 2nd sale next week

Sheep / Lambs

CIAA yarded 820 lambs and 230 sheep. A normal yarding with plenty of good quality lambs across all agents compared to previous weeks. Today’s lambs to the trade were $10.00 to $11.00. CIAA pen some excellent lambs across both xbreds and Merinos, a credit to both the vendor and the agent. CIAA yarded a few pens of store lambs and they sold to very strong competition. Hoggets are still very strong where as todays limited mutton was $1 cheaper than a fortnight ago.

CIAA will be 1st sale next week

Sheep / Lambs

CIAA yarded 600 lambs and 105 sheep. A normal yarding with plenty of good quality lambs across all agents compared to previous weeks. Today’s lambs to the trade were $10.00 to $10.60 and shedding lambs were well sort after. They saw exceptional competition, the shedding lambs out competed traditional x-bred lambs. CIAA yarded almost no store lambs and did sell to strong competition. Hoggets were stronger again this week and mutton was firm to dearer than last week. Rams were firm to 40 deaer than last week.
