Not too many heavy lambs here to quote today, the market was dearer across the board. All lambs were in hot demand reaching up to $12/kg carcass weight. Merino store lambs were a lot dearer today and could be quoted up to $5/kg liveweight. Hogget’s remain strong and Mutton was dearer than last week up to $20/hd up on last week. CIAA will be 3rd sale next week |

Very few X-bred lambs presented this week with the heavy x-breds returning 9.50-10.20 early in the sale and improving slightly as the sale progressed. Well finished Merinos were at similar rates or better than some of the x-breds with skins not really playing a part. Stores of all varieties are still in hot demand making upwards of $200 to go back out on feed. very few hoggets were sold today receiving similar rates to past weeks. Mutton took another step back today struggling to get past the $160 mark for any types, light mutton still $70-$120. CIAA will be 2nd sale next week |

A very up and down day in the sale yards today with many store lambs selling to a better price than light trade lambs. Store lambs remain very, very strong with most stores being $140 to $190/head. Excellently presented lambs still sold to above current grid prices, but slightly underdone lambs were cheaper than last week’s rates. Hoggets were still in strong demand seeing similar rates to previous weeks. Mutton was down quite a bit on last week being up to $40 cheaper. Rams had good competition returning over $100/hd. CIAA will be 1st sale next week |
