Sheep / Lambs

CIAA presented 1000 lambs and 200 sheep with processors having plenty of lambs and sheep around them. We have seen the job come off a further $5 – $10. All buyers competitive on those heavy export lambs. Muton with that extra skin giving a vendors slight premium.

Sheep / Lambs

CIAA presented 2850 lambs and 880 sheep today with less heavy weight x-breads and more trade weight and store merino lambs put forward. One veteran buyer was active today and a local buyer was not in attendance. This didn’t seem to affect the market much with plenty of activity coming from the local butchers. Mutton followed with suit with Victoria and eased on last week’s prices. Andrew Lepley will be selling the lambs for CIAA next week.

Sheep / Lambs

An excellent yarding of lambs sold to a very erratic market today. Momentum was difficult to maintain. Export lambs sold to easing demand and were down $10 on last week. Well covered trade lambs were firm to $5 less with store lambs trading similar rates of last week. Hogget lifted with better demand and decreased numbers with heavy mutton finding another $5 and lighter mutton up $5 - $10.

Sheep / Lambs

Much better yarding of medium trade to export lambs. Saw better competition with one interstate buyer back in this week. Export lambs were firm to $5 per head better, with the rest of the market $5 - $20 per head better. Hoggets were erratic and sheep were on par with last week. Very faw store lambs to report on.

Sheep / Lambs

An improved yarding on quality, lamb and sheep saw a general lift in prices today. CIAA topped todays lamb market with an outstanding pen of local lambs reaching $250. All categories were well represented with extra competition on hoggets and mutton compared to last week.

Sheep / Lambs

Welcome to 2024, CIAA yarded just over 200 lambs & hoggets with much stronger prices to kick off the year. XB export lambs returning $210-$214 with only a small number present. Heavy merino lambs returning $120-$174 also in very short supply. A majority of our yarding was light lambs and merino hoggets, both categories saw a lift on last year. Mutton followed and lifted $20-$35 per head.

Sheep / Lambs

Well presented lambs lifted $10-$20 today with the rest of the market seeing a gain of $5-$10 across the board. Lambs with weight were in short supply with plenty of light trade and restocker lambs available. Heavy hoggets and mutton had stronger demand. Merry Christmas and wishing everyone a happy new year from Ben and the team at CIAA.

A mixed yarding of nearly 1300 lambs with a majority going out on feed were firm on last week with a few re-stockers stepping back into the market. Heavy lambs lifted another $5-$8 on last week. Hoggets remained firm along with the mutton. Rams with competition can return a much better rate.

Sheep / Lambs

CIAA presented 750 lambs with a good line up of well presented sucker lambs out of the hills. A single pen of well shorn NSL making $140/hd, The buyers were still chasing weight over the light – medium trade lambs. Hoggets saw much better competition lifting $15 - $40 a head and better mutton improving $5-$20 a head.
